BIG AIR IN THE CITY KREMNICA 2013

After the SatisFACTION Ski Camp 2013 in Deštné, I went to Big Air in the city 2013.

The event in the middle of a small Slovak city Kremnica was organized for the 6th time. Guys are pushing the level higher every year and they were promising huge show this time again.

Via Facebook I was checking upgrades how the kicker was built. Snowing, building, shaping… the final shape was looking incredibly well! Next day I saw a picture of a obstacle for jibbing called elephant. It had lights around and it was totally killing me. I couldn't wait to go there!

Saturday (26th of January 2013) morning me, Dan Hanka and Murgi (as a freeski judge) had started our journey from Deštné. After some car's problem, which freaked us out a little bit, we met a policemen. We couldn't wish for better beginning of the day!

Around lunchtime we had luckily arrived to Kremnica. The car was not even parked when we saw couple of 9's from some riders.

Štefánikovo square looked even better than we were expecting. Except jump and jib obstacle, there were also a tubing line for kids and podium made up from snow for concerts. No time for hesitating! While we dress up for skiing, guys were shaping the kicker for qualifications.

The riders were divided into 2 groups. The first, mostly freeskiers, had started to ride since 3pm. The progress compare to the last time was, that except me on skis there were another two girls riding on snowboard - Zuzka Medlová and Diana Augustinová.

Judges were focusing on overall impression. Despite of ice, some nice tricks were landed.

8 riders from freeskiers, 8 riders from snowboarders and 3 girls made it to the Superfinals. Every rider had 4 runs.

The atmosphere was rising. The square was full of people, there were firework during jumping, music was playing and everybody had fun.

The winners were given bags with prices from sponsors and also medal from pure bronze with historical picture of Kremnica.

Later that evening we all met at afterparty. Two slovak bands were playing there (Chiki Liki Tu-A and Medial Banana Riddin Show).

I have to say BIG UP and HUGE THANKS to FRST Crew and all people, who was organizing this event. It was so magical, I am pround I could be part of it. Keep riding and hope to see you next year!!

SatisFACTION SKI CAMP 2013

The best crew we could wish for!

I couldn't wait till 20th - 25th of January 2013, the week of X-Spot SatisFACTION Ski Camp 2013. For me it was the first time I had opportunity to coach freeskiing young people.

Your Gravity Park, funky place full of creating obstacles is taking place in Deštné v Orlických horách. It gives riders possibility to learn various tricks. During the second day of the camp also 3 kickers was built and park has become small paradise for all of us.

Every day had included rich program consisted of riding, having food, some extra activity and video coaching.

We all met at Sunday evening. During welcome ceremony campers were introducing themselves and also were given a bag of presents from sponsors.

The first day started with skiing on the slope and camper were divided into two groups - beginners and advanced skiers.

Later that day we went to swimming pool and sauna to chill for a while. Video coaching showed a lot of mistakes, which everybody tried to adjust the second day.

After riding and good food during the second day we went to gym, where we had a lot of fun by playing soccer. Campers could also practice some tricks on the trampoline.

The third day was so difficult. The park has bag jump already, where we were practicing some new tricks and jumps ... From 18:00 ... nightshooting was on! It was such great experience. Moreover, one camper, Agi, pushed half of campers to ride the last obstacle, ,,Z''. A lot of energy, huge tricks and fun! Everybody who missed this session can envy us!

And still - it was not the end of the day. We had visit from Mountain Rescue Service. Guy told us about avalanches, injuries and added some advances what to do if somebody get injured.

Swimming pool included :).

Because of busy program we moved breakfast from 8:30 to 9:00. Everybody could see a lot of progress campers had made.

The day full of fun ended with a bowling. Before video coaching, we could see a cool barman show, also with a fire.

Video coaching was made outside, so people walking around could see how we are skiing. Dan and Murgi would be really good commentators!

After that we moved in the hotel and short before party we gave the biggest prices to campers who really deserved it. Agi and small Honza was given a new FACTION skis, Denis had new hoodie and Peťo new ski pools. The rest of the campers also had some presents as a t-shirts or sunglasses.

… and than… a party. Lucas, our video maker, made history once again. The legendary sentence ,,Lukasi, kde máš kameru?'' ,,30 veřin v corku!'' will stay in our memories for ever as much as entire camp.

I have to say huge THANKS to Dan and Johny for organizing such a camp, Murgi for awesome coaching and support, Lukin for incredible pictures, Lucas for awesome video and ALL THE CAMPERS for unbelievable energy and atmosphere during entire camp. Hope to see you next year!!

PHOTOS: CHURCH OF ST. PETER AND ST. PAUL

The collegiate church of St. Peter and St. Paul located in Vyšehrad (Prague).

Because I am in studying in Prague, from time to time we go to sightseeing tour. In the beginning of January 2013 I was with Steven's sister Kelly and her boyfriend Jamie in The collegiate church of ST. Peter and St. Paul.

Because the time was short after Christmass, there was still one Betlehem.

The capitulary Temple of St. Peter and Paul was established in 1070 together with the independent Royal Collegiate capitulary. Archeological research has shown that in early days, the temple was built as a three-aisled basilica. The high-Gothic reconstruction, started after 1369, was inspired by the Emperor, Charles IV. The teple's length increased to 110 m and has become the largest religious building from pre-Hussite Prague.

The capitulary tepee was destroyed during the Hussite movement on 1th of November 1420 and was rebuilt after the Hussite wars ended.

The church interior was decorated by several prominent Czech church artists, who were active in the late 19th century. The neo-Gothic windows in the presbytery featuring images of saints were designed by František Sequens.

The renovation work on temple began in 1988 after extensive archaeological research. The capitulary temple was re-opened to the public on 29th June 1992 to mark the church patrons, St. Peter and Paul. In 2003, Pope John Paul II. elevated the capitulary temple to a papal ''basilica minor''.
