This winter is full of eventsand competitions. Every weekend there is some contest or jam in Slovakia, Czech or other European country. It is really cool, but on the other hand also confusing, if more than 3 events happen in one day. Well, during 16^th of February for me there were 4 events I would like to visit. I have decided to go to Paprsek for VIP JUMP and GRIND vol.3.

Except skiing and competing, this event was also about testing OX skis or beer Chotebor. Snowboarders could try some gear from DC or ROXY.

Some girls had tried OX and had a lot of fun! :)

Since friday we were sleeping in the Base Camp. Saturday morning we woke up soon so we could help to built up a tent for sound system and also OX. The entire forenoon was riders able to train and got to use to the park.

Around the lunch time there were 29 riders ready to comepete. I was the only girl. Filip Taraba as one of the judges explained: ´´During qualification you have 2 runs, the better counts. 8 skiers and 8 snowboarders will ride the finals, where you will have 4 runs, the best 2 counts.´´

The contest had started.

The park consisted of 3 kickers (the first one cca12m, second one cca 13m or 19m gap) and 3 obstacles (street rail, step-up tube, double-kink box). Unfortunatelly, as we were standing on the top, we couldn’t see the second jumps and jib platform, so I don’t know much about tricks of others. I was jumping straight airs, 180, 360 with mute grab, and on all obstacles 27out. It was a lot of fun. Park and kickers was really, really awesome to jump and atmosphere was cool, everybody enjoyed the riding.

The contest finished before 4pm. The results of skiers:

We went to eat and chill little bit before afterparty, which took place in Base Camp. I guess everybody enjoyed it a lot. I went sleep earlier because Saturday was again good day for riding J.

During February 2013 I had visited ISPO in Munich.

I went there for two days. More than 2000 brands from more than 100 countries all over the world had showed there their goods, stuff, sport equipment and so on. 2 days were definitely not enough to check all the 16 huge halls which was there.

All the sellers, dealers and business men were explaining why their stuff are better, what technologies they used or what their machine can do. People than could try it by themselves and also touch it. Sometimes, if the company has a team, riders come to represent the brand.
I saw there Glen Plake, icon in world freeskiing and also Pekka Hyssalo, Finnish freeskier who is skiing again after really difficult injury of his head.

I have to say it was awesome experience. I will really try to go there next year too!
