PHOTOS: TISÁ ROCKS IN BOHEMIAN SWITZERLAND

26 April 2014
The Bohemian Switzerland National Park (Národní park České Švýcarsko) belongs to most beautiful places in Czech Republic worth it to visit. It was established on 1st January 2000 and covers an area nearly of 80 km2. It is the youngest national park in the Czech Republic, located on northern side borders. It is a land of sandstones. They were formed by agglutination od sand grains that settle at the bottom of the chalk sea. Throughout the ten million years the sand was accumulating, a bed of sedimentation was growing grain by grain until it reached the thickness of more than one kilometre! (Source: http://www.npcs.cz)

It was beautiful. Unusual shapes of rocks, huge towers of rocks made from sand (sometimes 70m high), unique atmosphere, in some parts people climbing. I think pictures will tell more now. Enjoy!

This was the first view when we arrived.

Sand everywhere.

Groups of people were climbing in some areas.

Shapes of all kinds.

Walking on the roof :).

Fluffy visitors :).

Chilling on the top.
